2024 Connecticut Non-Life Master of the Year

Awarded to the top masterpoint winner in face to face play who began the year as a non-Life Master with fewer than 750 masterpoints

Ben Levine swept the honors with more than 200 masterpoints in a year that included several high overalls in Open events and the achievement of Life Master status in October. Yun Chung Hsu rode his leading performance in club games to a strong second. Justin Young, who started the year with fewer than 100 masterpoints, surged into third with a flurry of Gold Rush wins and a win in the District 25 North American Pairs Flight C Final. Allison Lacy combined an impressive record in club games with high overalls in each of Connecticut's Sectionals and a Golden Opportunity win in Fairfield to take fourth place. Greg Rich rounded out the top five after a fine year including overall Swiss Teams finishes in each of Connecticut's Sectionals and a dominant Golden Opportunity win in Fairfield with twin 70% games that helped him to make Life Master in early August. Congratulations to our top five and to all of our rising players who started the year as non-Life Masters!
